Great deal on Conair straighteners at CVS
Posted by Tom/Sophia at 1:25 PM Labels: cvs 19 August 2011
The Conair 3/4" Infiniti straighteners are ringing up for 75% off! That means they're around $8.00 - but they ARE printing the $5.00 ECB. That makes them ultimately around $3.00!!! Remember, this could be regional, although lots of people are reporting it. Also, the tags say 50% off, but if you price check one at the coupon machine, it should say 75%, or around $8.00. Hope you find one!

If you received the Axe BOGO coupon in last week's Red Plum, here's a way that you can use it. Right now, Dominick's has Axe body wash and tools on sale - purchase two or more, get them for $2.99 each. Use the BOGO coupon to get two for $2.99, or only $1.49 apiece!
Sorry the posting has been a little slow around here. . .
Posted by Tom/Sophia at 3:24 PM Labels: notes on lifeYesterday I posted something on We Use Coupons, and after being completely attacked, I don't really feel up to couponing or posting good deals. What did I post? Just the fact that coupon bloggers should take more responsibility in posting deals that FOLLOW THE RULES. I know why they don't; they don't get as many views on their blogs that way. I understand now, however, that We Use Coupons is not a place that will tolerate any type of dissenting viewpoint. I'd already had an inkling to that effect, but last night was really my breaking point. I don't know when being a BLOGGER made you some type of god, but I refuse to ascribe to that notion. Sorry.
Don't forget that today is Sunday, which means there are new Target coupons to print. There are a couple that would be great for stacking. Here's a helpful tip: if you're curious whether there's a manufacturer coupon that can be stacked with a Target coupon, go to Coupon Tom. You can search the coupon database by brand or product type. Let's say you see the new $1/1 Garnier Fructis hair care items Target coupon. To find a manufacturer coupon for stacking, you'd go to Coupon Tom, type in 'Garnier', then check out the results. Right now, there are a TON of Garnier coupons out. You'll see some from the newspaper inserts, as well as some you can print online. This is my helpful tip for the day. You don't have to rely on bloggers to post all of the deals for you - you can empower yourself. Visit the Target coupon page, check out what's good, print what you might like to buy, then go to Coupon Tom and check out the stacks. K?
Here's a new Yankee Candle coupon to print. It'll give you $10 off a $25 order - valid through 8.7.11. If you're going out, you might want to see if you can use this at Kohl's; they're having an awesome sale this weekend, and Yankee Candle items are included. I went last night and got a new pair of running shoes, two semi sets of Fiesta dishware (they were on clearance because they were each missing a piece) and two new bath towels - all for $60! I saved over $80, plus I received $10 in Kohl's cash. If you do take your Yankee coupon to Kohl's, take the 20% off Kohl's coupon I posted about here.
This was available before, but I'm sure not everybody could take advantage of it. Visit Sleep Number's Facebook page and print out the entire page that's under the deal tab after you "like" them. Take this page with you when you visit a Sleep Number store before August 17th, and you'll get a FREE Sleep Number travel pillow. I've heard these things are great!
Free cosmetic bag from Maybelline and Walgreens!

Tomorrow, 8.6, Walgreens will be doing a 'Great Lash' event. If you visit your local Walgreens between 10am and 5pm, you will receive a free cosmetic bag when you purchase a Maybelline Great Lash mascara (while supplies last). Now, I don't know if you've ever tried Great Lash, but it is good stuff. It's also on sale for B1G1, and you can use two of the $1/1 coupons found here.
Thanks, Money Saving Madness!

Next week, Garnier shampoos, conditioners and stylers will be on sale at CVS - buy 3 for $10, get $3 ECBs. If you need coupons for this deal, you can go print out either $1/1 shampoo or conditioner or $1/1 styler. Heck, go crazy - print them both! They're bricks, so you can print them each twice!
If you can sit through a sales pitch, that is! If you visit coupons.com right now, you can print out a coupon good for a $10 U.S. Bank Rewards Visa card. To get the card, you need to go into your local U.S. Bank branch and let them pitch you on why their banking services are better than your current banking services. This might be best for those who don't mind salesmen or who need a new bank!
